Born On The Water

Our founder, Paxton, grew up fishing the waters of the Pacific Northwest. Rain or shine, it was always about showing up early and staying out late.

After years of wearing hats that looked okay but failed on the water: too sweaty, too uncomfortable, and made with cheap fabrics - he decided to build something better. This is where Early Bird Fishing was born.

Early Bird Fishing is a bootstrapped company based in Santa Monica, CA, focused on performance, not flash. We produce inventory in small batches with premium materials sourced for maximum quality. We pay attention to the details, with every feature designed for the angler in mind.

We field test everything ourselves, on the ocean, in the mountains, and anywhere the bite is hot. This isn’t about fashion. It’s about function that looks damn good.

We believe in protecting the waters that raised us. That’s why we support conservation efforts, promote responsible harvest, and share practices that keep fisheries healthy for the next generation.

We’ve also partnered with Greenspark and Plastic Bank to recycle one plastic bottle for every order, helping reduce waste and keep our waterways cleaner. Good fishing tomorrow depends on good stewardship today.
